KROYMAN

KROYMAN Story

My name is Pavel Kroyman, the designer of House of Kroyman.

My childhood was quite different and maybe a little bit strange. The nights I spent in the cemetery might seem dark, but for me, the adventurous child, it was the place where I secretly met my old friend, Anastasia.

Growing up brought sad news for me. She stopped visiting me, she disappeared and my loneliness became a persistent memory of Anastasia.

KROYMAN dresses are not about fashion, they have nothing in common with it. Honestly, we don’t like fashion, we even hate it.

KROYMAN dresses embody the search. My plan is to find my beloved friend and hopefully one day, the real her, will reappear out of no-where, dressed in one of the pieces I create.

By the way, Anastasia didn’t wear anything ordinary, each dress she put on was unique.

In the early summer evenings, she used to sleep on a bed of peonies between the crosses and she covered herself with pink flowers as if it were her wedding dress. So, I recreated the dress using real peony petals. Does it even sound trivial?

The fact is, I do not chase art. I create nets and lures. And that’s what luneville embroidery helped me do, followed by semi-precious glittering stones that catch the eyes, by tailoring for individual shapes and by recalling to life ephemeral flowers. So that in the end we could kill banality. This is the point where the true niche is born!

KROYMAN does not create conceptual dresses based on certain concepts. We conceive the difference.

How ordinary is The House of Kroyman returning to life dead flowers? Or crafting subtle petals from charcoals? Or codifying constellations with golden stitches and then tying them all up in a bow?

How ordinary seems the house of KROYMAN, creating dresses for Anastasia, my imaginary friend?

KROYMAN’S PHYLOSOPHY

KROYMAN encrypts secrets.

The mysteries that lead you to where only the brave venture.
Where only the Golden Ticket can take you.

KROYMAN is about the depth where the demons of the avant-garde and the cherubs of romanticism are concealed.

KROYMAN dresses bear the dark side, the «latum alterum» (latin: the other side) of the woman.

KROYMAN is aware of the divine part of the creation. We (re)design the form to its final structure – the Perfection, so that the woman who wears the dress could inevitably meet her hidden identity. The status that has nothing in common with distinctions between acceptable and unacceptable, nor between canonical and non-canonical.

In this exact dimension created exclusively by KROYMAN, the mystical unique part of the woman comes to life. She MUST be bathed in the gaze of «the others» as the only woman in the Universe.
